Th1rteen R3asons Why by Jay Asher

Summary: The first love of Clay Jensen has recorded her last words.

One day after school, Clay returns home to find a mysterious box sitting on his porch.

His name is on it but there's no return address.

When he opens it he finds seven cassette tapes.

Recorded by his crush and classmate, Hannah Baker, who committed suicide two weeks before.

On the tapes, Hannah's voice tells that there are 13 reasons why she killed herself.

There's people. There's stories. There's Clay.

He still blames himself for not being able to save Hannah from herself even after two weeks has past.

But as Clay listens to the tapes, he figures out what all the rumors did to Hannah's life.

All of the lies. All of the hate.

Clay Jensen realizes that his name is on the list of the 13 reason for a different reason.

Hannah becomes his guide.

To her pain. To her sorrow.

Clay has to face the truth about Hannah's life.

How he effected her. How he left her.

Rating: 5 Stars

Review: I really loved Thirteen Reasons Why. I read it in about one night. I could not put it down no matter how hard I tried. All of the different stories had so much depth to them. They were so intriguing, so inviting. I wanted to know how everyone fit together. How everything effected Hannah. But also how Clay played a role. And maybe how much I could relate to Hannah. Even though she was a fictional character. I actually found myself relating to her more then I probably should have. I could also figure out where the other people in my life could fit into the story. That's probably a bad thing but oh well. Anyway! Back to the story. I think that everyone should read this. Yes the material is graphic in a few places. Yes the story line is a sensitive subject. Yes I cried. But still read this amazing book, Thirteen Reasons Why, which is the debut novel of Jay Asher.

I definitely read this one in one night as well :P

True, the subject matter is "sensitive", but it's the kind of thing that everyone should read anyways, cause while it may be sensitive, it's also reality.
Anyways, off my soapbox, I'm really glad you enjoyed it!

Laina what did you think it was about? Just wondering. lol

Hannah that would be really weird. But I probably would of ended up doing the same thing. =]

Runa this book definitely does have a big reality factor to it. But I think a lot of people over look this kind of thing.

I don't know, something mushy, like "Thirteen Reasons Why I Like You" or something like that.

I still want to read it, though.
