The Awakening by Kelley Armstrong

Summary: If you were to ask Chloe what she was like two weeks ago, she would have told you that she was like any other teenage girl.

She was normal.

Chloe's life, has drastically changed now.

It's as far from normal as someone can get.

She finds out that she's a science experiment.

Not only can she see ghosts, she's been genetically altered by and organization call the Edison Group.

She only has one real question, what does that all mean?

Chloe's about to find out.

Her powers are out of control.

She raises corpses from the dead, in her sleep.

Chloe's on the run for her life with three supernatural friends.

They're running away from the Edison Group to try to find someone to help them.

If they don't, well then they know they died trying.

Rating: 5 STARS!

Review: I LOVE this series by Kelley Armstrong. Chloe is probably one of the most well written characters I've seen in awhile. You don't always know how she's feeling, but that's part of the fun, part of the experience of this series. In The Summoning, everything changed for Chloe. Now, in The Awakening, everything is changing again. But this time, Chloe isn't trying to stop it as much as before. Now she knows what she really is, now she knows who she can really trust. As this book progresses, you can really tell that trust is a big part of this book. Chloe must learn to trust people she hated, must learn that people you once trusted can break all those promises, and also learning to trust people you hold close more then you ever thought possible. It's amazing to see how much Chloe has grown up. At the ending of The Awakening, you know that nothing over. You know that the story will continue, the characters will develop even more. Kelley Armstrong is a really great writer. I can't wait for the third book to come out, I will definitely be buying it!
